Cape Town mother of two says no to obesity and transforms her life through exercise!

Article received from Adventure Boot Camp: Published 13 December 2010

Adventure Boot Camp is all about inspiring women to be the best they can be through exercise and holistic lifestyle change which is why the Loaded Adventure Boot Camp Challenge was launched in May this year. After four gruelling months of saying no to alcohol, sleeping late, binge eating, and much more, 35 year old, mother of two Natasha Tromp from Constantia, has won this year’s Loaded Adventure Boot Camp Challenge!

Wanting a second chance at a happy and healthy life was enough to get selected as one of the three finalists to take part in the Challenge. However, it was Natasha’s unwavering commitment and honest intention to push herself beyond her comfort zone in all areas of her life, so that she might catch a glimpse of the woman she so desperately longed to be, that has made her deserving of the title.

Losing a whopping 8.1kg, she also lost 5.2% of her body fat, and a total of 39cm.

During the Challenge all three finalists received free consultations with life coach, Mary Oventstone and dietician, Kim Hofmann, as well as a host of pamper treatments and products from Loaded 100% Natural Smoothies, Green Apple Fashion and Styling, The Little Black Dress Company, BeautyBulletin.com, Beauté Pacifique and AMB Photography to the value of R52 000. For winning the title, Natasha receives a further R26 000 worth of additional prizes from the above sponsors as well as a one-year Adventure Boot Camp membership, pamper treatments from Life Day Spa, a one year subscription to Shape magazine and the grand prize of a Loaded Lifestyle Weekend Retreat at a private location in Theewatersfkloof Dam, with access to a chartered boat for her and seven friends, valued at R10 000.

“My reasons for entering the Challenge were to become healthier, less anxious and more peaceful, to find a way to like myself again, develop a healthy body image, to lose weight and have more energy. I am glad I have been so lucky to have been chosen and I am so grateful to everyone for making me feel very special and for helping me improve my life!” says Natasha.

The main goal for hosting the Loaded Adventure Boot Camp Challenge was to instil a holistic lifestyle change in three ladies who possessed a desire to better themselves in all ways possible. Over 200 entries were received from many deserving women, but there were just three that really stood out. Besides Natasha who attended the Constantia Adventure Boot Camp, Sue-Ann Allen and Lynsey Allan were also selected to take part. Lynsey attended the Fish Hoek camp and Sue-Ann the St. Cyprians camp in Oranjezicht. Both finalists showed a strong determination to achieve their health and wellness goals and although there could be only one winner, all three succeeded in putting their lives back on track.

Adventure Boot Camp runs monthly camps nationwide and entries for next year’s Challenge will open in March 2011. To register for a camp, visit www.AdventureBootCamp.co.za  or call the ABC National head office on 021 447 2746.
